Artfire has a one-click solution (set % off, click save to turn sale on - when done, click "off" to turn it back off) *** HAVING A SALE *** Want the ability to put items on sale without having to manually edit each item? Again, asked for here, not offered.
#RAPIDCART COUPON CODE FREE#
Artfire has coupons (for verified shops only - $ off, %off, free shipping, free gift - can apply to whole shop, price range, order total or you can even select each item individually, a time period for the coupon, and whether it can be used by each person once or more). *** COUPONS *** Been asked for many times here in the forums, but are not available on etsy. In this case of a selling venue, WE are the customers! Go to the Ideas or Bugs section of the forums and you'll see what sellers want in terms of features or fixes. I seriously doubt any serious business has the sole purpose of crushing their competition in some evil fashion - they want to make money & success by providing what the customer wants. I don't think it's fair to call something "exploitation" just because a company like Artfire sees a niche that needs to be filled and is trying to provide the services to sellers that sellers have been asking, begging, pleading, and sometimes SHOUTING for here on etsy and etsy isn't providing them.
#RAPIDCART COUPON CODE PLUS#
It's a nice plus to a selling venue like Etsy to have a community too, but the reason people are here is to sell their goods, correct? Each company has to do what they want to do to grow and provide service to their customer base. I'm surprised at the direction this has taken. Wow, I posted in this thread earlier under my other shop (just happened to be logged in here today). this whole debacle was supposedly because google didn't want duplications from the venue uploads and seller uploads, so what about duplications from selling in multiple venues? Uh, i hadn't thought of that, having the same things with same titles and descriptions at more than one venue, and them being uploaded to gb. google's only going to be retiring more and more accounts. i sure hope they have this sussed out before the end of october. theoretically they should have two more months! i'm with san, google really sucks eggs for pulling this stunt, and at this time of year, too.Įtsy's wheels do move slowly as it is, plus they've had their tech people on the seo thing until recently. maybe we should have one of those football-style pools )įirelily, exactly. My wild guess is Etsy will have something end Oct/Nov. And google also has a zillion rules about that kinds of words are acceptable in titles, so they need to add in some kind of "check". Which seriously sucks, because Etsy's development schedule is definitely on the slow side.Įtsy also needs to add the option to opt out of the GB upload for those of us that'll upload it through other sites. Theoretically they have several weeks before the deadline, but it seems that google is jumping the gun and removing some pple's GB early. I'm going to stay simply here on Etsy and throw all my advertising behind these shops, on a site that I feel has integrity.

It's a bit of a rant, I suppose, but there are my reasons. The bottom line is, it's really turned me off the site as a whole and frankly I really don't want my wonderful products associated with them. I know what's going on, the people who are posting here are Mavens and are either trying to get recruits so they can get their Free Ride for Life, or are getting free advertising or some other perk that Artfire staff is offering. Secondly, and almost as importantly as losing money, I'm getting really, really, really tired of the constant Artfire spam here on the Etsy forums. (yes, I know they're having a special for basic members this month, but I'll get to that point next). I'm losing my shirt by having those shops open and having a basic account is useless with only being able to list 10 items. Mainly because the sales and views there are pathetic.
